Kick that snow shovel and rock salt to the curb—our heated stair treads and mats will keep your exterior walkways free of ice and snow all winter long! They operate on standard household current and installation is simple: just lay them out, connect them to a control unit (required, sold separately), and they’ll melt up to 2” of snow per hour. The treads and mats have weathertight connector cables so you can join them together to cover large areas, and a durable black thermoplastic surface that’s tough enough to withstand the harshest weather. The control unit plugs into any standard 120V outlet and has a built-in ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) plus a patented weathertight connecting mechanism. A single control unit can safely power up to 15 treads, 5 mats, or a combination of both (up to 15 amps total).
